Burgum signs bills for armed responder in school, pipeline tampering

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Doug Burgum continues to sign bills, including ones against pipeline tampering and allowing school districts to decide whether they want armed personnel in a school. Here’s all the bills he signed Wednesday evening:


  • HB 1125 - Relating to plans for cooperating school districts
  • HB 1332 - Relating to the carrying of a concealed firearm on school property by qualified individuals
  • HB 1334 - Relating to sealing a criminal record of a driving under the influence offense
  • HB 1345 - Relating to the practice of natural hair braiding and threading
  • HB 1434 - Relating to dissolution of school districts
  • HB 1471 - Relating to extraterritorial zoning fees and regulations
  • SB 2044 - Relating to tampering with or damaging a critical infrastructure facility or a public service; and to provide a penalty
