Bond reduced for man accused of raping a woman last year

BISMARCK, N.D. - A Bismarck man charged with raping a woman last year pleaded not guilty and got his bond reduced during a preliminary hearing Monday morning.

Twenty-year-old Jonathan Brungard is accused of kissing and raping a woman in December. Brungard is charged with two counts of gross sexual imposition with force.

A judge amended Brungard’s initial bond of more than $200,000 in cash to $50,000.

His next hearing hasn’t been scheduled yet.
