Boil order for city of Lincoln

LINCOLN, N.D. - The city of Lincoln is under a boil order after a water test came back positive for general bacteria.

In a Facebook video posted by the city, Mayor Gerald Wise said one of the five samples the Department of Public Works tested showed positive results.

This comes after the city began addressing cloudiness and sediment in some homeowners' water. On Thursday night, the city shut down a new water line that was installed just this fall. They also flushed a number of fire hydrants.

The city said water bottles will be available at the city building and they are working to get more.

More water tests will be done in the coming days.
