BISMARCK, N.D. - A body has been discovered on the banks of the Missouri River in Bismarck.

Bismarck Police say it is a 52-year-old male.

Lt. Luke Gardiner says he was discovered around 8:30 a.m. Saturday by the Lewis and Clark riverboat.

Police say someone was taking pictures by the river when they stumbled upon the body.

Preliminary investigations show he likely died of exposure to the cold.

Police are now working to identify the man and notify his next of kin. An autopsy and identification are expected later this week.
