BISMARCK, N.D. - Doosan Bobcat is celebrating the five-year anniversary of its Acceleration Center in Bismarck.

The director of the Acceleration Center had me get in one of the pieces of equipment while he controlled the machine through his iPhone. That's just one example of how Bobcat is growing its technology and test space right here in Bismarck.

Over the last five years, Doosan Bobcat added around 1,000 jobs at the two locations it has in Bismarck. The company offers engineering positions and equipment operations jobs. The director of the acceleration center says its goal is to recruit and keep its employees long term. He also said employees get a chance to work on the innovative concepts, like the smart phone technology.

"So we've recently launched what we call Max Control, and that is a technology where you can use your iPhone to operate a skid steer or a track loader," said the Director of the Acceleration Center in Bismarck, Matt Sagaser.

Sagaser says the goal is to sell Max Control to any customer interested in using their iPhone to master certain jobs on a job site.
