Bitter cold prompts shutdown of Turtle Mountain tribal operations Thursday
In response to the bitter cold and potentially dangerous wind chills, the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa tribe is effectively closing operations Thurs., Jan. 16.
All tribal government offices are closed. There will be no business conducted Thursday.
Also, all District 7 school facilities will be closed.
Tribal chairman Jamie Azure confirmed the news.
He said emergency services with the tribe will continue to operate.
