Bismarck shutting down concrete work

BISMARCK, N.D. - Bismarck is shutting down any concrete work in the city because of the cold weather and ground moisture.

Outside of any emergency situations, the city engineer says no more permits will be issued until spring.
And anyone with a permit needs to finish work by Friday.

"Anyone who is currently building a home is certainly trying to get their driveway in at least at this point as they complete the house, they might have a closing in the springtime, they want to have the driveway complete by that time and that's what we're focusing on having at least the driveways done now and we'll come back in spring or summer of next year to finish up sidewalks and those sort of things," said Gabe Schell, City of Bismarck engineer.
