Bismarck police investigate groping incident

BISMARCK, N.D. - UPDATE (March 8, 2018): A Bismarck man has been charged gross sexual imposition and burglary.

According to court documents, 27-year-old Darryl King, Jr. broke into a room at the Quality Inn in Bismarck on January 13th around 5 a.m.

King is accused of groping a woman while she slept and taking cash and an I-D from a man also staying in the room.

Documents says the woman woke up as King was touching her and she yelled at him. When she yelled at him King fled through a door that led to the pool area.

ORIGINAL STORY (Jan. 16, 2018): A Bismarck man and woman were staying at the Quality Inn when police say an unknown man came into their room and groped the woman.

The Bismarck Police Department say the incident happened on Saturday at 5:20 a.m.

Police say the man staying with the woman noticed his cash and ID was also gone from his wallet.

The case is under investigation.
