A Bismarck man charged with raping a minor changed his plea on Thursday to guilty.

Thirty-year-old Cyrus Cuba was charged with gross sexual imposition and unlawful delivery to certain persons in February.

Mandan police say Cuba picked up a 13-year-old girl and her friend and they stayed at his house until the next day. Cuba gave both minors alcohol, according to court documents.

Police say Cuba was ashamed of his past and didn’t want to get in trouble again. Officers say Cuba later provided details of the rape.

The victim told her mother the next morning about the sexual assault and was taken to the hospital.

A judge ordered a pre-sentencing investigation. Cuba’s sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 29.

Cuba has been previously convicted with two counts of GSI out of Mercer County and currently has another open GSI case in Bismarck. He’s accused of raping a 19-year-old in July.
