Some say chess is just a game but one Bismarck man says it is much more than that. He says kids can learn some important life lessons from playing chess.

Todd Wolf is the President of the North Dakota Chess Association. He started playing the game back in 1989 and wanted to share the experience with others. Wolf says he's watched children with learning disabilities learn patience and social skills from chess.

"We always hear this, you know, chess is a game for smart people. However, chess is a game that makes smart people, it's also a game that develops so many skills," said Todd Wolf, North Dakota Chess Association President.
