Bismarck man charged with two counts rape

BISMARCK, N.D. - A Bismarck man was arrested and charged with two counts of gross sexual imposition and interference with an emergency call.

Theodore Jenkins, 54, is being held on a $50,000 cash bond at the Burleigh County Detention Center.

According to the affidavit, Jenkins offered to give a woman a ride from the Tesoro gas station to the soup kitchen on Monday. Jenkins took the woman to his residence on E. Capital Ave instead.

The affidavit says Jenkins was touching the woman and was undressing himself. The woman stated she attempted to leave his residence and said no to him, but Jenkins began taking off her clothes by force.

The affidavit also says Jenkins forced himself on the victim, and she tried to call 911. Jenkins ended the call and threw the phone.

The two gross sexual imposition are a class AA felony, and a carry a minimum 20 years in incarceration.
