Bismarck man charged with kidnapping

BISMARCK, N.D. - A Bismarck man has been charged with kidnapping for entering an apartment and holding a gun to a man's head.

Prosecutors say on Thursday morning, 39-year-old Christopher Williams barged into an apartment on Summit Boulevard and drew a gun on the victim.

When inside the apartment Williams told the victim to sit on couch and "tell him the truth."

The victim sat down but later stood up and moved, that's when Williams is accused of shooting into the wall one time.

Documents show Williams told the victim to "take a ride." When the pair left the apartment, Williams shot in the air twice.

As Williams got into the car, the victim was able to run off.

Williams is charged with kidnapping, victim was released unharmed, terrorizing and reckless endangerment.

His bond has been set at $50,000.
