Bismarck man accused of raping a teen and getting her pregnant

A Bismarck man is accused of raping a minor and getting her pregnant.

The affidavit says 21-year-old Tristen Gooden is accused of touching a minor inappropriately and raping her sometime in July.

Documents say the child went to the doctors and they found out she was six weeks pregnant. She told doctors she was pregnant because of forced sex and didn’t want to reveal the name of the man responsible.

In October, the parents of the victims contacted law enforcement with Gooden’s name after she told them.

Police interviewed Gooden in November and he admitted to having intercourse with the girl.

He’s charged with corruption of a minor, victim 15 or older.

Gooden is being held without bond because of other cases he also has pending.

The misdemeanor jury trial is scheduled for August 30.

Gooden also has other open cases for a corruption of a minor charge, a gross sexual imposition charge, and an aggravated assault, terrorizing, and felonious restraint charge.
