BISMARCK, ND - A Bismarck homeowner's pet was killed after a drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning.
Bismarck police say a man on the 1700 Block of North Fourth Street reported hearing something hit his window.
The man went into his living room and saw a lamp knocked over and his cat bleeding and writhing in pain. The cat later died from its wounds.
After a closer look, the man noticed a bullet hole in his window. He called police, who found shell casings from a .22 caliber gun outside the home and other bullet holes.
Damage to the home is estimated at $1,000.
Earlier this month, police also found .22 caliber shell casings on the 1100 Block of University Drive.
