BISMARCK, N.D. - Several Bismarck groups are heading to the nation's capital to participate in "The March for Life."

The annual event in Washington, D.C., provides an opportunity for students grades 9 through 12 to be a part of the pro-life movement.

The march takes place Friday afternoon.

The group from the Diocese of Bismarck leaves this evening. The buses from University of Mary leave tomorrow morning.

“It gives us the opportunity to step in and be a voice for people that maybe don't have a voice. So no matter how old or young or big or small we're able to be there for them and on their behalf,” said Carrie Davis, director of youth and young adult ministry.

The group will arrive in DC around midnight Wednesday, but plans to make some stops along the way to celebrate Mass and have brunch at The University of Notre Dame.
