Work on Bismarck's new strategic plan began in July of last year.
The goal of the plan is to help guide city government. The city commission got an an update on the plan as it nears completion.
The group behind the plan is holding another round of meetings in April. Officials have the rough draft and are cleaning it up before releasing a draft to the public next month. The finished product is scheduled to be released in June.
"We were very fortunate to get a very high number of responses from the community. That really guides this entire conversation, this entire project, because it's really the voice of the citizens of Bismarck and what they want to see," said Jason Tomanek, Bismarck administrator.
They say one of the top items they've heard back about are signature spaces, which they define as areas unique to Bismarck, like the riverfront.
