Bismarck Public Schools plans to build two new elementary schools

Bismarck School Board members say the district plans to build two new elementary schools, one in the northeast and one in the northwest.

The money to build the schools will come from existing building funds.

They say these schools should eliminate some of the overcrowding issues.

Elementary students will have to learn in 26 portable classrooms next school year.

District leaders say the schools would open in 2022.
