BISMARCK, N.D. - The second Bismarck Public Schools candidate for superintendent is interviewing Tuesday.
Shawn Oban is the principal at Myhre Elementary school and has lived in the city for over 40 years. He has been a teacher and administrator at different schools in the district for almost 20 years, and is also a Bismarck City commissioner.
He says he would work with the other school districts in the area to share resources, and would make sure he gets out into the community and engages in different events. Oban says he has the qualities the school district needs in a superintendent.
“From a district perspective that's why I want to be superintendent because I believe that I possess the very qualities that those groups and I believe our district is looking for in a superintendent,” said Oban.
There are two more candidates to be interviewed. The school board is expected to make a decision on Friday.
