Bismarck Police Officer bit during altercation at Parkade

A Bismarck Police Officer was bit on his forearm while attempting to arrest a man who was under the influence.

Bismarck Police responded to the Bismarck Parkade on 6th Street for a report of a male passed out in the main floor lobby.

According to the affidavit, Floyd Montclair, 30 appeared to be under the influence when officers found him.

When officers attempted to roll Montclair over, he resisted.

The affidavit says BPD tried to place him in handcuffs when Montclair tried to bite one of the officers.

Montclair then bit another officer on his forearm.

The affidavit says Montclair continued to resist and was tased multiple times before being taken into custody.

The same officer that was bit sustained an injury to his knee which required medical attention.

Montclair was charged with disorderly conduct, preventing arrest, simple assault of a peace officer and attempt to commit simple assault.

His bond was set to $1,000, and to remain in North Dakota.
