Bismarck Martial Arts Instructor Pleads Not Guilty to taking videos of minors in the changing room

The Bismarck Martial Arts instructor accused of touching a student and taking videos of others in the changing room of the facility pleaded not guilty in court Monday.

Twenty-three-year-old Adler Scheer is charged with gross sexual imposition victim under 15, and three counts of surreptitious intrusion.

Detectives say Scheer is accused of putting his cellphone on top of a diving wall in the changing rooms at Bismarck ATA Martial Arts. A child told police she noticed the phone had been recording for 16 minutes.

Police say Scheer admitted in May to putting his phone there more than once to take videos of his students changing because he wanted to see them naked.

Detectives with the Bismarck Police Department says Scheer also admitted to touching an 11-year-old inappropriately.

Officers say all the victims are under 14.

A judge scheduled his trial for October 30.
