BISMARCK, N.D. - The Bismarck City Commission is establishing a new Historical Preservation Commission.
The board would provide advice on how to carry out projects on historical property.
It also opens up federal grant money to those working on these projects.
"As we're developing the city and redeveloping in older parts of the city make sure that we don't unintentionally harm the historic nature of our community as well," said city commissioner Nancy Guy.
The commission also changed the city's motor vehicle noise ordinance, making it easier for police officers to enforce.
