BISMARCK, N.D. - The winter storm has caused travel issues for those traveling by air this holiday weekend as well.
At the Bismarck Airport, plows were clearing snow from runways and in front of the terminal but flights are still having a difficult time leaving.
According to the Bismarck Airport website, six flights to and from Minneapolis, Denver and Chicago were cancelled and another four flights are delayed. Two Sunday flights were cancelled as well.
If you're planning to catch a flight, it's a good idea to check the status of your flight before heading to the airport. Even if you do get out of Bismarck, several flights have been delayed or cancelled out of both Chicago and Denver.
Most flights out of Chicago are delayed at least 15 minutes, and more than two dozen flights out of O'Hare have been cancelled. 100 flights were cancelled and another 182 delayed at the Denver International Airport today because of winds.
