Bird strike forces Fargo United flight to land shortly after take off

FARGO, N.D. - United Airlines flight 4619 was forced to turn around and land shortly after take off from Hector International on Saturday after a bird hit the front of the plane.

Passengers say they saw feathers covering the outside of the plane as they got off the aircraft. Remains of the bird could be seen lodged in between the windshields on the front of the plane in pictures supplied to Valley News Live.

The flight was enroute to Denver and had just taken off from Fargo when the incident occurred.

No one was hurt.
