MINOT, N.D. - The Minot City Council gave the green light Monday night to bid one of the major parts of the long-term flood protection plan.
The council unanimously approved bidding to go out for the Burlington levee project.
The city of Minot's share of the project is one third of roughly $25 million.
Organizers say they will bid out the project in late winter.
The Souris River Joint Board will also meet to discuss the latest progress this Thursday.
