Belcourt students march to rally the vote

BELCOURT, N.D. - Young people took over the streets of Belcourt Tuesday morning, marching to the polls in an effort to draw support for the Native American vote in North Dakota.

The marchers chanted and held posters with phrases such as "Native Vote" and "Stand N Vote."

In the past couple of weeks, tribal leaders on the state's reservations have worked to provide free ID's for tribal members, amid controversy over the state's voter ID laws.
