BISMARCK, N.D. - The coordinator of Bismarck's Early Childhood Education Program, Michelle Dzura-Hougen, is retiring after 43 years in education.

BECEP works with children in early development. She says she'll miss working with the smiling children and parents. She doesn't have any plans for the future yet, but says the program is in good hands.

"I have never met a group of more committed, they're inspirational, more committed staff in wanting to improve the lives of preschoolers, and their families," said Michelle.

Her retirement officially starts on June 30.
