An Atlanta woman is charged federally in North Dakota for sex trafficking.
Court documents say 42-year-old Joy Galliher is accused of being a part of a sex trafficking group recruiting young women who are addicts or struggling financially.
Documents say once the women were in the lifestyle they were threatened into staying. Records say often their personal identifications were taken from them so they wouldn’t flee.
Galliher, also refereed to as “precious,” was arrested at a hotel in Atlanta, Ga. in April of 2018 and two young women were with her. Authorities say one of the women with Galliher is known to be one of her sex trafficking victims.
Galliher had an arraignment hearing this week. She’s charged with sex trafficking by force coercion.
