Art school paints a future in education

BISMARCK, N.D. - Theo Art School in Bismarck is not only teaching kids to create art, but also inspiring future teachers.

Artist Tawnya Iglehart says she stumbled into a career in education by accident.

After a couple of years of teaching at Theo's, she went back to college to earn a teaching degree.

Now other instructors are feeling inspired by the classroom.

“I've been here for about four summers, like three and a half summers, and working with the kids makes me want to work with them for the rest of my life, so I'm going to go to school to be a teacher,” said Alyda Blazek, summer instructor.

Theo Art Camp runs all summer long. They also offer an Art and Wine class on Thursdays for adults 21 and up. To learn more, or to sign up, visit
