BISMARCK, N.D. - Dan's Supermarket in Arrowhead Plaza has been open for 65 years, and Wednesday the grocery store shut its doors.
Students at St. Mary's Central High School say they're going to have to find somewhere else to eat since Dan's is closing.
"I don't know what I'm going to do. I'll probably swing by McDonald's more often. I might start bringing food from home, but it's sad Dan's closing," said Trysten Ruhland, senior at St. Mary's.
It's a tradition that's no more.
"It's pretty sad since we've come here since we started at the school and it's basically been where we've gotten lunch every day. It kind of has been a great place to come, so it's pretty sad they're closing," said Joel Bry, senior at St. Mary's.
But the students aren't the only ones who are disappointed.
"We're going to miss it, we're going to miss it. My heart goes out to the local people that live real close by, because those are the ones that are going to be hurt the most," said Eva Wentz, Bismarck resident.
The next closest Dan's Supermarket is on Turnpike Avenue.
