Annual Linton Demolition Derby raises money for charities

LINTON, N.D. - There were a lot of crashes at the Linton Rifle Range Saturday, but all for a good reason.

The Linton Lions Club hosted the annual Demolition Derby, contestants can win prizes for being the last car to survive the crashes, best hit and most aggressive driver, but the fundraiser helps pediatric cancer patients, Toys for Tots and more.

"I love watching people enjoy themselves outside, get away from the tv, get away from the computers and come outside and enjoy the beautiful day and see a little bit of action," said Dan Imdieke, Demolition Derby Chairman.

More than 750 people attended the event which raised more than $7,500.
