GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - An airman at the Grand Forks Air Force Base was found dead in his dorm room on Sept. 6. The airman has been identified as Christian Clark, a High-Frequency Global Communications System operations technician with the 319th Communications Squadron.

“It saddens our hearts that we lost one of our teammates,” said Lt. Col. Jonathan Guerrero, 319 CS commander. “There is a great deal of emptiness left by Christian’s passing due to the many lives he touched within our squadron. We feel true sorrow for his family, as well as the family he left behind here at Grand Forks – his Air Force family.”

Clark, a Monroe, Ga., native, joined the Air Force Jan. 5, 2016, and arrived at Grand Forks AFB in June of the same year.

The cause of death is under investigation.
