MINOT, N.D. - Community Rocks will perform their sixth annual benefit concert Saturday.
The concert will be held Saturday. Doors will open at 6 p.m. at the Grand Hotel in Minot. This year's proceeds from the concert will go toward Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports.
Prairie Grit is a non-profit that supports youth and adults with physical and mental disabilities to participate in sports. We spoke with one orchestra player who has volunteered with Prairie Grit in the past and will be playing in the concert for the first time.
“Me and my teammates have done previous stuff for Prairie Grit, but it also makes it kind of special for me because I get to play and do what I love for my community and help raise money,” said cellist Landry Maragos.
The event will feature music and fundraising. More than 500 tickets have been sold already. You can get yours at Badlands Brew, formerly Classic Rock Coffee.
