BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary has held the option to buy the Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health building since 2015 and are finally taking the final steps to make that happen.
Negotiations are underway to finalize the purchase and to figure out what will happen with the current tenants.
"We're excited to be here. It's right in the heart of the city. It's where we've always wanted to be, and our largest school is the school of health sciences and the two wonderful hospitals are right there," said Jerome Richter, vice president of public affairs.
UMary is buying the building for about $2.1 million.
