Woman leads officers on high-speed chase

MORTON COUNTY, N.D. - A Mandan woman was arrested Friday after fleeing Highway Patrol officers.

Patrolmen say it began when they clocked Raven Harrison, 22, speeding through a construction zone on the Bismarck Expressway. They say instead of stopping, she led officers on a high-speed chase onto I-94, reaching speeds of 90 miles per hour.

Authorities say as she entered another construction zone on an off ramp, she sideswiped a car, damaging her own vehicle enough she couldn't continue.

The Highway Patrol says she had a 1-year-old in the car in an unsecured car seat. The child was released to protective services.

Authorities have charged Harrison with fleeing a peace officer and has other charges pending.
