4-H students learn cooking and cultural foods at chef camp

WASHBURN, N.D. - They say anyone can learn to cook and the North Dakota 4-H camp in Washburn is teaching students not only how to cook, but also the importance of trying different foods.

Julie Garden-Robinson says the chef camp changes each year, this year they'll learn how to make ice cream, cheese and focus on cultural food themes.

"Cooking is fun and you can do it and you can learn about your culture because of your explorations in the kitchen," said Julie Garden-Robinson, Food/Nutrition Specialist.

And maybe the best part, each chef gets to try their own creations.
