MINOT, N.D. - Minot's 36th Avenue is now open after being closed all summer.
Construction in the area now connects Ramstad school to Broadway, relieving traffic and pick and up drop off around the school.
The $2.8 million construction project was paid for by state surge funding.
"It is a big milestone for the city of Minot to connect Ramstad school with Broadway and will relieve traffic congestion and the level of service around that school for all the parents who are dropping off and pick up their students daily at the new school, so we're very excited this project is open," says Jacqueline DeMent, City of Minot Assistant City Engineer.
The city plans to do a sidewalk replacement project in the area during the spring of next year.
