3 killed in head-on crash in McKenzie County

MCKENZIE COUNTY, N.D. - Three people are dead after their car crashed head-on into a semi truck.

It happened on Highway 23 near Keene in McKenzie County around 9:00 p.m. Saturday night. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the car was westbound when it was entering the roundabout just north of Keene. The car jumped the curb, crossed into the eastbound lane, and struck the semi head-on.

The three occupants of the car were pronounced dead on scene. They are identified as: 68-year-old Jim Livengood, 68-year old Elizabeth Livengood, and 45-year-old Tina Livengood all of Williston. Authorities say Jim Livengood was driving the car at the time of the crash.

The driver of the semi, 37-year-old William Bowden of Florida, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the McKenzie County Hospital.

No charges are expected in the crash.
