2018 Scandinavian American Hall of Famers announced

Norsk Hostfest has announced the 2018 inductees into the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame.

This year's honorees are businessman Myron Thompson, Ingebretsen's Nordic Marketplace, and Irish entertainer Daniel O'Donnell.

Thompson, a native of Upham, N.D., has opened several restaurants in North Dakota.

The Nordic Marketplace is the Twin Cities' oldest store dedicated to all-Scandinavian products. Julie Ingebretsen will accept on behalf of the family.

Daniel O'Donnell, who performs often at Hostfest, is being honored for his humanitarian work.

They will be honored the day before Hostfest kicks off, on Tues., Sept. 25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Hotel.
