2 men accused of killing Karla Yellowbird on Spirit Lake Indian Reservation plead guilty

SPIRIT LAKE INDIAN RESERVATION, N.D. - Two men charged with a 2016 murder on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation pleaded guilty Friday in federal court.

The U.S. Attorney's office reports 21-year-old Daylin Takendrick St. Pierre pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery and felony murder, among other charges.

Twenty-four-year-old Dakota James Charboneau pleaded guilty to second degree murder as well as other charges.

The report says the two are charged with killing Karla Yellowbird during what started out as a robbery attempt. Suna Guy previously pleaded guilty to felony murder and has been sentenced in the case.
