MINOT, N.D. - UPDATE (5-20-19): Prosecutors have filed charges in a crash over the weekend in Minot.
Investigators say 26-year-old Juan Hernandez collided with a northwest Minot home early Sunday morning while under the influence.
Prosecutors have charged Hernandez with C-felony criminal vehicular injury.
Minot Police say that Hernandez and a 20-year-old woman in his truck were knocked unconscious and bloodied in the accident.
The two, both from Watford City, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Hernandez made his initial appearance on the charge Monday, according to court records.
Minot Police received a report of the crash just after 1 a-m Sunday morning in the 600 block of 8th Street NW.
According to court records, officers could smell alcohol in the vehicle and on Hernandez while trying to help the two.
No one was home at the time of the accident, though the front of the home suffered significant damage.
ORIGINAL STORY (5-19-19): Minot Police say two people in a pickup truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries after the truck crashed into a northwest Minot home early Sunday morning.
Police responded to the 600 block of 8th Street NW shortly after 1 a.m. for a report of an accident.
Investigators determined 26-year-old Juan Hernandez of Watford City was headed northbound at a high rate of speed when he left the roadway and crashed into the home.
No one was inside the home at the time of the accident. A 20-year-old woman, also from Watford City, was in the pickup. Both Hernandez and the woman were unconscious when officers arrived.
Hernandez will face a C-felony charge of driving under the influence involving injury.
