Seventeen-year-old Ian Laboyd, who is accused of murdering a man and attempting to murder another in November, is being charged with five felonies as an adult, according to the Williston Police Department.

On November 10, police found 19-year-old Matthew York and 19-year-old Parker Haider, each with a gunshot wound to the chest, in the alleyway behind Cashwise. York later died, and officers say they recovered a Ruger pistol in a dumpster behind Taco Johns.

Investigators say the have evidence Laboyd was meeting the two victims, as well as two others to sell them a drug called “acid”. Police say once everyone arrived in the alley, Laboyd fired three shots, hitting York and Haider, while the other two fled.

Officers then located and arrested Laboyd. Now, Law enforcement is searching Snapchat, where the five involved in the incident were communicating before the meet-up.

Laboyd is charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Possession of Stolen Property, Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He has a preliminary hearing on January 8.
