I was born and raised in Williston, North Dakota. As a child, watching the evening news on NBC with Tom Brokaw and Brian Williams every night before supper shaped my admiration for the world of broadcasting. After graduating high school, I attended Minot State University, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism. I moved back to Williston in the summer of 2017 and have been working at KUMV-TV ever since. When I'm not out filming a story or shooting-the-breeze with Jon Cole, you can usually find me in line at one of the many local coffee shops around town.

The incident follows others that have come under scrutiny, including video of two NYPD SUVs plowing into a crowd of protesters in Brooklyn.
The two officers involved, who were either not wearing or did not have their cameras activated, have been placed on administrative leave.
