Sara Berlinger
Reporter

I’m excited to return to North Dakota and share the interesting stories here! I was born and raised in Rhode Island and was involved in my high school’s online newspaper and literary magazine. From there I went on to study broadcast journalism at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. My hands-on news experience there made me want to become an on-air reporter. My first news job was in North Dakota, where I was able to report on the Dakota Access Pipeline protest, an event covered by national media. My next stop was in Wichita, Kansas, where I was able to report on several high-profile court cases. One highlight was when I had the opportunity to report on and fly with members of the Kansas Army National Guard in a Black Hawk helicopter. My love for the recreational activities and welcoming people led me back to this beautiful state.
