BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Continuous search efforts have been suspended for a 41-year-old Bismarck man last seen kayaking near Kimball Bottoms Recreational Area.

Burleigh County Water Rescue Team Commander Major Gary Schaffer says 41-year-old Joby Seagren was kayaking with a group of friends Saturday morning when he became separated from the main group.

One of the others found his kayak partially submerged and called for help.

Emergency responders searched extensively through the Kimball Bottoms area and were not able to find Seagren.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol joined the search Sunday using an airplane before all continuous efforts were called off.

Schaffer says crews will search from the air again, once in the morning and evening.
