BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - After a three day trial and three hours of deliberation, a Morton County jury found a 48-year-old man not guilty of murder.

Arthur Funk was found not guilty of murder, but the jury brought back a guilty verdict for a manslaughter charge Wednesday night.

Judge Cynthia Feland ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Funk stabbed and killed 53-year-old Keven Stockert outside of his residence at a trailer court in Mandan in July of 2020.

Funk’s attorney argued he acted in self defense as the two men were in a physical altercation.
