Federal charges filed for man accused of robbing bank
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A Bowman man accused of robbing the Dakota West Credit Union in January has been charged federally.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jeremy Mellmer is charged with credit union robbery.
According to the affidavit, Mellmer handed a note to the teller, instructing her that this was a robbery.
Police say he then pulled a gun out of his jacket to scare the teller.
North Dakota Highway Patrol began a pursuit with Mellmer who was arrested 30 miles from Bowman where the robbery occurred.
