What’s next for Wentz?
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Even though he did not play at the end of the season, Carson Wentz is a very popular topic in Philadelphia.
The main question is what’s next for Wentz?
Wentz did not have a very good year and he would be the first person to tell you that.
The Eagles General Manager addressed the topic this week.
Howie Roseman, Eagles General Manager, said: “I don’t think it’s a secret that we moved up for him because of what we thought of him, as a person, as a player. We gave him that extension because of the same things, and so when you have players like that they’re like fingers on your hands. You can’t even imagine that they are not a part of you, that they’re not here and that’s how I feel about Carson.”
The Bismarck Century and NDSU graduate has not said anything publicly which I do not think should surprise anyone.
Doug Pederson, Eagles Head Coach, said: “I’m not going to speak for Carson obviously but I can speak for myself and say that the relationship is good, is fine and it’s something that we’re going to continue to build upon and listen, I know that Carson is disappointed. It’s not the season that he had anticipated. It’s not the season that I had anticipated as the head coach. There were a lot of moving parts it’s not about one guy here.”
The Eagle lost seven of their last eight games and they took Wentz out of the starting lineup on Dec. 6.
