BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - With just a handful of boys basketball games played, we already know there are some very good teams in the W.D.A.

Bismarck High is on that list. The Demons have won four straight after a season-opening loss to Mandan in a high-scoring game.

The start does not surprise the BHS head coach.

Jordan Wilhelm, BHS head coach, said: “When you return the kind of guys that we have, the kind of character players that we have, it’s what we expected and the energy has been good, the effort has been cool and for us it’s been cool because it’s the second year in a new system. So for us we are doing a whole lot less teaching the basic concepts and we’re picking up where we left off which has been fun seeing the progression from one year to the next and the things that our guys have retained from last year and building from there.”

The new system involves a fast-paced approach and rotating a number of players in and out to keep fresh legs on the floor.

Bismarck is set to host Century on Tuesday night.
