Scott Grochow will go with a quicker pace this season with his Rugby Panthers shying away from the pro-style offense. The Panthers lost some size from last year and now are going to the air more to try to beat teams.
"I think it's a lot better. We're getting a lot more quick, short routes. We can get some yards after catch. We're not running that much because we don't have a big enough line as we did last year so we're trying to shorten it up, make it more fast paced," wide receiver Tanner Bernhardt says.
The man at the front of the attack is Brad Heidlebaugh, a senior quarterback who has a lot of weapons at his disposal including Tanner Bernhardt and Zach Miller.
"I think we could be the favorite in the region. That's the goal every year, win the region, like many other teams. I think we have a good chance with the team we have," Heidlebaugh says.
Rugby opens up on the road traveling to Larimore Friday night.
