MomsEveryday: Breakfast Banana Pops

Posted: Updated:

It sounds like dessert, but this easy breakfast recipe is nutritious and fun.

As busy moms, it's sometimes difficult to come up with exciting meals for breakfast. But as our kids gear up for back to school, this recipe may come in handy. In today's Momseveryday Minute, registered dietitian Katie Bolte shares her nutritious and fun recipe for breakfast banana pops.

"We have breakfast banana pops. Kids love them because it's almost like a Popsicle for breakfast. You're going to peel the banana, open and cut it in half. You can use either a Popsicle stick or even a plastic spoon. Just stick it in here, you're going to roll it in yogurt. Here I have Greek yogurt, gives it just a little extra protein, then we're going to roll it into some cereal. You can choose whatever you like or whatever your kids like - it's important to think about the protein or the fiber there. Put it in the freezer over night and it comes out looking just like this," says Bolte.

Not exactly dessert for breakfast, but your kids will love it. Find this recipe and more ways to make your life easier by visiting Momseveryday.com.
